The number of new gTLD domain name registrations have topped 5 Million for the first time, according to ntldstats.com
Here are the top 30 most registered new gTLDs:
Domain Total Reg % of all Reg
.xyz 867,598 17.33%
.网址 (xn--ses554g) 349,778 6.99%
.club 204,557 4.09%
.berlin 156,908 3.13%
.wang 138,175 2.76%
.link 105,023 2.10%
.science 100,504 2.01%
.realtor 95,677 1.91%
.guru 83,193 1.66%

These are just the first 10. For anyone interested, the full post (and comments) is worth reading:

ntldstats doesn't seem to be accurate with deleting names, e.g. .guru shows a drop of a couple of thousand names when it is more like 15,000 names that have been deleted, so I'd say the numbers are too high.

My gut feeling is that paid for ntld numbers are going to be at risk of going into overall decline over the next year.
