Quiet Today (5th Nov)

After a huge day yesterday in terms of dollar value, with around 82 domains registered. Today, there is currently only around 49 domains registered from the drops.

Four of the twelve registrants picked up the majority of the domains with the rest of the eight picking up one each.
Registrant 1 - 13 Domains
Registrant 2 - 6 Domains
Registrant 3 - 5 Domains
Registrant 4 - 4 Domains (Looks like an end user Builder Service Company using Netfleet)

I thought I was a reasonable sniper until I encountered Registrant 2 today. I placed two last minute bids on DomainShield, well maybe 2-3 minutes before the closing, and received the dreaded message after the drop "Queued at a higher level..." (Note: this is not the "Already queued for other."). Well done Registrant 2, great sniping and nice pickup. The funny thing was that I sniped someone and then I got sniped. :D I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Also, it would be interesting to hear the story and strategy of "Registrant 1", who keeps on drinking up domains by the litres on a daily basis.

Again, a large number of suspect domains registered via "Public Domain Registry Pty Ltd" to different registrants which I did not include in the above stats.

Placing bids for dropping names for the right amount, at the right time is certainly an art some here are very good at doing at NetDropShield..
