Apparently Afilias are being acquired by Donuts who are owned by Abry Partners a US private equity firm.
And auDA have to give their approval.
I think they should refuse and make Afilias divest their auDA business to an Australian owned entity.
The idea that our domain backend is owned and controlled by a foreign private equity firm doesn't pass good governance in my humble opinion.
