Next Week's Aftermarket

Whilst I doubt any domains listed for this week will beat the $8K sale of CloudComputing.com.au, it's definitely the strongest offering so far in terms of average quality.

Are any of them better than some of the 4-fig catches we've seen on the drops? I certainly think so. Esp when you consider there's no 6-mth sale limitation.

Anyway my weekly ramblings:

BodyBoard.com.au - fantastic popular generic just in time for summer! Massive sport just like surfing gets bigger every year.

TaxConsultants.com.au - Huge and lucrative industry. The obvious benchmark for pricing is that the very much inferior (IMO) singular which sold for $700 @ Drop.

Fascinators.com.au - These are just everywhere at the moment. Sure it's seasonal but every year they get more and more popular. Soon the boys will be wearing them. 2,400 EXACT monthly searches (and that's average - last month the EXACT searches were a staggering 15,000!)

FishShop.com.au - 1,000's of potential endusers. Ideal for a quick flip with so many potential buyers.

AlloyWheels.com.au - With nearly 15,000,000 registered vehicles on the road in Australia, the market is huge. This is a genuine category killer with a massive 2,400 EXACT and 18,000 PHRASE monthly searches

LandRegeneration.com.au - This industry gets bigger year by year in line with people's environmental awareness. Many creative uses for this one as well as a potential quick flip

29.com.au - There's only 100 of these and they've all been registered for many years. Unforgetable branding appeal but other creative uses too (street numbers, 29 deals, $29, 29 years old). Look at numeric .com sales (namebio.com) and you'll see there's real value to be had in .au (029.com sold for $110K 2 mths ago for example )

FreeVouchers.com.au - As we discussed on a recent thread, vouchers are BIG, BIG BIG on the internet. Look at the equivalent 'coupon' sites in the US and you'll see millionns to be made with the right idea and brand.

ComparisonRates.com.au - Anyone happen to have noticed anything in the news relating to this? Something about how it's important to promote competition on interest rates? What a name for a government-sponsored bank-bashing comparison site! This is a huge and lucrative industry and very topical.

Bars.net.au - who hasn't been in one in the last couple of weeks? How about the last 24 hours? Bars are big business and it may be a net.au but is still a huge category killer with obvious development potential

PsychicHotline.com.au - use this domain to promote your $7.95/minute psychic line. Get the punters to key in their birthdate and give them a personalised reading from a pre-recorded selection. Money for nothing as long as you can get people calling & this domain will do that for you.

CurrencyConverterCalculator.com.au - Admitedly a better name, CurrencyConverter.com.au just attracted a high bid of $5K to help you benchmark. StampDutyCalculator.com.au sold for $14K. Calculator names are red hot at the moment and for good reason when you consider how easy it is to put them together and the search volume.

Tired now... will try to come back and add some more thoughts later as there are many more domains wirth a mention

Bodyboard maybe worth $500, TaxConsultants maybe $500 but I dont think any of the others are worth spending time or money on. Netfleet has heaps more for sale better than those already

True, although because people have to pay to list auction domains, you'd like to think they are a more motivated seller.

Re TaxConsultants.com.au - TaxConsultant.com.au sold for $700 but has 1/10th the search volume.

OK carrying on with the summary of domains:

HomeLoanSimulator.com.au - I like this one because it suggests inputs that deliver data/graphs that show a homeloan balance over the term of the loan, presumably by altering payment amounts, interest rates, lump sum payments etc. Something much more than a simple home loan repayment calculator.

CarRadios.com.au - Has decent search & strong CPC and a very targeted domain. Once people are on the site, you know exactly what to sell them and that's a massive help.

FlashUSBDrives.com.au - this is a hugely competitive industry. Search in Google and you'll see a full suite of Adwords advertisers targeting that exact term. Any one of them could be a potential target to flip to (even just using the domain for adwords would deliver tham a ROI from a 3-fig purchase in months)

Hoon.com.au - Nice 4-letter brandable which would be good for a cult/joke site or, on the flipside a nme & shame site. Lots of other uses witha bit of imagination.

Eucalyptus.com.au - Iconic Aussie tree and a well used cure for all sorts of ailments. 1900 EXACT searches every month. Comparative sales to benchmark - Lanolin.com.au sold for $300 @ Drop a couple of weeks ago

There are many more well worth a look too. Check out the search volumes and CPCs on MobilePorn.com.au, iPhoneCase.com.au, MySpaceGraphics.com.au, SexyFriends.com.au (CPC $3+), GreeningAustralia.com.au etc...

Thanks for reading as always!

I disagree with the Bodyboard one, I think its worth $1,000+ easy, big market in Australia for Bodybaords and the keyword "bodyboard" is better then "bodyboards" + Body boards are not cheap they go for like 300-1000+ a pop..

Some type of body board community + videos online + Online store would work killer. How do I know because all my mates are obsessed with body boarding...
