Just a quick note about our outage today.
We lost all network connectivity to our webserver today for the crucial 10 minutes at the end of the auction and the start of the registry purge cycle.
As you can see from our results we do have a backup system which ensures that we still snap domains when this occurs, but it runs on slightly older data. We snap the domain for the winner of the auction at the time when we collected the backup. It is a good idea to be winning and to have a good proxy bid in place to ensure your success in these very rare instances
