It's a shame that Melbourne is lengthy 9 characters long, and thus prone to typos or typing/tapping fatigue for a TLD.

In the article, the example they give of a possible usage is grandprix.melbourne which is 19 characters. Yet the existing domain name for that event, grandprix.com.au, is shorter at 16 characters.
