hi guys, many of you have business names associated with various businesses and domain names.
There is a new malicious email going around posing as an ASIC Business Name renewal. It looks identical to the real thing, but instead of downloading a PDF with your renewal letter it downloads a ZIP file, once the ZIP file is opened it installs malware on your computer. It is being blocked by some mail filters like MailGuard but Gmail is not blocking it. I had one come through on Gmail, but noticed that the file to download was a ZIP which alerted me to the fact that it was suspect.
This is one of the best malicious email scams I have seen. Be careful out there
