Hi all,

I was doing some analysis on tomorrows dropping domains,

I noticed the domain "Ciba.com.au" is dropping tomorrow with "6494 links in"
I have tested this using a few URL using a few of my own SEO tools and also using the more basic tools from Google/yahoo ect. I can not seem to pick up any link data apart form 7 or so domains.

Is their some type of problem with the link metrics on DROP? Is it picking up .com CIBA data? Just was wondering why we are seeing inflated link data and which system is picking up this link data for Drop I heard Amazon??

thank you.

Hi James,

The link data comes from Amazon Web Services AKA Alexa. Occasionally they seem to have issues. Here is the report for Ciba.com.au...

http://www.alexa.com/search?q=Ciba.com.au&r=home_home&p=bigtop

As you can see for some reason Alexa is associating Ciba.com.au with ozemail.com.au, hence all the links in.

Unfortunately this is the issue with using third party services for this kind of data - The data can have glitches, like this instance.

As always we would advise you to conduct your own complementary research.

Cheers

Andrew
