July 1st price promotion new .au registrations

Apparently 1st July Afilias is running a .au new wholesale registration price promotion.

They will not charge anything themselves for all new registrations 1st July - 31st July 2018.

The only fees being charged will be auDA's excessive high fees.

Why is auDA still charging so much and why have they stockpiled over $25 million AUD in massive profits? Note the Government review document about auDA profiteering.

Who is watching auDA expenses? It will be interesting to see how much their legal, travel, consulting and other expenses have actually been reduced.

Wholesale price - $18

Breakdown

Registry share 20 cents (they do alll the work)
auDA share $17.80 (they do almost nothing except confuse everyone with red tape)

Probably will never get to that stage because the place is unlikely to exist this time next year.

The more I hear about auDA the more convinced I am that their "value add" is very very little.
