Happy Birthday Paz. Oh to be that age again! The things I'd do differently.
I think I'd have to take the prize for the "Grandad" of the group - I'm old enough to be father to most of you (LOL) - except of course Don and Spacey. But I still outrank both of them in terms of vintage!

.....yep back in my day , after you painted the car you had to wet and dry sand it all back and then cut and polish it !
....none of this yuppy 2 pak stuff
you kids have it so easy ~!
and we did get 5 balls of pinball for 20 cents , unlike these days
one day if your good i will tell you about the 1980 acdc concert at the myer music bowl ??

Us kids still paint in Acrylic
Yep the whole wet sand with 1200grit and a cut and polish, though i do like the 2pak stuff

and because i am not tall when doing a roof in summer .....well nothing like a bit of cutters and sweat running into your eyes , and then in winter picking up a freezing cold buff was not great either
but it was actually a bit a fun , my apprenticeship was 1980-84 , cars even had metal bumper bars back then
