I can see some .com.au domains of interest expiring today. Since these are domain quite unique to my area of interest, I doubt anyone will bid for them.
My question is how soon after they expire can I hand-register them?
I normally register via Ventraip as I have most of my domains with them, but I've noticed in the past that at times they show the domain as 'not available' while godaddy (or perhaps other too) allow me to register them. Should it matter much which AU registar I use, or should VentraIP be as quick as any of the other AU registrars?
