How many exact searches

How many exact searches would make a '.com.au' and secondly a '.net.au' domain valuable?
If the only good thing about a domain was its amount of exact searches?

What would 1000 exact searches make a domain worth?
Or 2000 etc..

And how many exact searches would a domain need to be sold easily?

I know its a pretty dumb question but oh well.

I guess 1000 searches at 5c CPC would be crap. But if it was for searches at $8.00, then its looking way better.

Also, is it in a high competition niche like finance or something easier where you can possibly rank higher, without as much time and effort.

I guess there is no open and shut formula

DavidL put it simply

Some domains have brandable value

Some domains have value based on metrics

Some domains have both types of value.

However (this is important), just because a domain only has one of these two elements doesn't mean it's worthless.

Popularity is half the equation, the other half is the value of the traffic. As a rough statement for popular keyword domains,

Volume X Traffic Value = Domain value

If either one is zero you are in trouble. Wouldn't bother with .net.au personally. Spacey's timetravel.com.au is a good example. Probably worthless as a domain unless companies are actually branding using the term because the keyword value is likely nothing.

Problem is much of that alcohol search traffic pays terrible low via Adsense on CPC, if you find a nice affiliate program that exactly matches it then more value but even then it would take a bit of work to monetise well
