"A personalised consultation with a specialist Social Media Marketing specialist"

    Sounds pretty special.

LOL. I also love their framed .au domain name certificates.

Anyone who uses MIT as a customer wouldn't have 660$ left after renewals

Probably a chat with a kid they met at Macca's
    LOL

I actually think it's a good idea. Everyone in our industry knows MIT is expensive but if you're a small/medium/large business and don't understand how this stuff works, $660 might not be a lot to get it right the first time, especially if you see a return on your investment.

+1, I wouldn't be charging any less to do the same. Price seems fair to me.

I think you're right Jonathan. MelbIT have a huge database that they can target with this offer, and I'm sure it would be attractive to a lot of people
who are "worried that they are missing the social network marketing boat". As you say, it's not huge bucks to "Joe Public".

Perhaps this could be something that young Scott and Sparky should have a go at? Work out how to do it properly, and then target some clients at
half of this price. Could be quite lucrative - and less competitive than building websites for people.

    Just a thought .............. :)

is Melbourne It still around? With their high prices it's surprising they have retained any renewal or new registration / COR / Hosting business

Its not hard to do all they do is use the base template and the tabs, personally I do not think the design is really that engaging, I have seen far better jobs.

All you need is the base template and you can work off that.

But overall for the price it is pretty fair, no creative agency or design house will do it for that much.

Seems to be a little bagging of MelbIT here...

After going through the DistributeIT debarcle - MelbIT is attractive as a group that can manage domains well (very well). Automatic .com.au renewals, excellent reporting tools and a dedicated reseller group... I use them a lot. My understanding is that they handle the registrations from Yahoo India... so they must know what they are doing...

Registration prices can be very good for resellers... just need to ask.

Agree though for business to spend $660 on the social media thing... not the worst investment they could make. That's about one ad in the newspaper, right?

    Cheers
