So, pretty much I just finished a physics exam for uni and have a week and a half off. I haven't done web development in ages so I decided to quickly find something to do and do it. I remembered Ned's thread about wanting one of these ages ago so thought I might as well make one

Anyway, I've put it up on my blog so the links to see it and download it are here.

I'm not totally happy with it but I'm now wanting to just watch some TV and won't get back to it till Monday at the earliest so I'll let it loose Feel free to give suggestions etc. The main thing I hate is the top right heading.

P.S. You can use it for commercial use etc etc.

Very nice Sparky! A couple of small things which irk me but just cause I'm very picky .

-The rounded edges on "Fantastic Investment Opportunity" are on top of the darker background, which looks strange in my background, leaving little dark triangles.

-I think you should have some padding for the left side of the logo; could look strange right up against the grey if it was a straight-sided image.

-It'd be nice to see the footer colour somewhere else; seems a little strange.

-I'd bring it down to 960px or 900px. 1000px seems a little wide for a placeholder style page.

-Link colour is a bit hard to read against the blue.

Sorry for this seemingly big list of ideas Really are small things haha!

I applied the updates that Scott suggested. Still unsure about the link colour so changed it to bold white for now. Any suggestions are most definitely welcome
