Drupal is a great choice for security as well as scalability.

Great point Horshack. Security is definitely a serious issue for all web apps, they all need to be correctly configured and maintained.

Magento has good documentation for locking things down and adding additional security measures such as 2-step authentication.

The popular platforms will always be targets. Just make sure you're on the relevant mailing lists for your platform of choice and act on any security updates. Most of the projects mentioned above have active local communities and professional support, always take the extra steps to lock things down where you can.
