Agreed. Doubt we'll see it back on the drops any time soon, should be good some good bidding!

I just tracked down the owner and had a chat. (Well actually it was the brother of the owner). Wanted to find out if it was as a result of a cock-up
(as happened recently to another member), and if so give him a heads up.
The guy had just been made aware of the situation about 30 minutes ago. The domain belongs to his brother's company, and it looks like he wasn't aware of the renewal.
A tough lesson. But also a salutary reminder to us all.
We all know who will be bidding ..................

Not to put the "mocka" on NF or Drop, but I wonder if DomainWatch will make an appearance tomorrow?
Does anyone know when they last snapped a name ? I have not seen them snap a name for a few years!

You don't obviously watch the drops religiously then Erhan.
They (Namewise) got a couple last year. I'll dig up the names and send them to you.
But it is an event almost as rare as rocking horse sh*t.

Depends on the bank but if you shop around you can get any where from $40 per approved up to $100 for a conditionally approved.

What I find interesting (when a good name appears on the drops) is the whole psychology of bidding.
And then there are the "spoilers" to contend with. I don't say that nastily either. What I mean is that there are people
who know it's going to go really big, but they still throw in some early bids just to say that they were bidders!

- If you really want the name, do you lead out strongly from the start and hope to scare some bidders off?
- Or do you wait till the end in order not to drive the price up too much - and then hit it with both barrels?
