drop prices, net.au v .com.au

there has always seem to be this valuation of a .net.au being worth 1/10th a .com.au

I've been watching this and personally i'm not a fan of .net.au

in the last 6 months ( and I have no stats on this ) but my impression is that the 1/10 rule is wrong, i'm seeing many .net.au just getting double dropped and quality .com.au's in their .net.au version going for $10 when I know ( public knowledge) the .com.au went for $1k, $5k, $10k +

which means 1/100th etc

so the 1/10th rule to me seems to be not a rule.

i'd love to see some stats on this.

while I don't have any statistics on this, I am observing .net.au domains going very cheap. I have seen some decent aftermarket .net.au sales to end users for example $10,000, $15,000 and $17,000 respectively.

Also here are the following sales from Netfleet (having acted in some of the .com.au sales for the matching domains I can see some of the .net.au going for 10% of the com.au price):

Having said that I think that .net.au vary on a case by case basis, I don't think there is a one fits all formula.

Likewise, I can't see creditcards.com.au selling for only $220k

Some of my best ROI has come from .net.au's, but I think they've lost a lot of their appeal recently.

Have to be very strong names to sell for decent money - like the aforementioned names.
