    Hi,

Can you advise any risks buyers on the drop auctions have with the proposed competing extra .au extension.

My main concern is the new create date of names registered via the drop platforms verses the pre existing .net.au, .id.au, .asn.au. .org.au .gov.au etc registrants with older create dates.

This seems to be a potential huge issue and potential major risk for all drop catchers, auDA, new hand registrants and the drop auction new registrants.

If someone spent $500, $1000, $10,000, $100,000 etc on the drop auction tomorrow for a dropped .com.au how can they be assured they will get the chance to register the same version of it in the new proposed competing .au extension in the future?

It is definitely something buyers of domain names need to be aware of! Such a shame we still don’t know the answer re: cut off date..
