Whilst I’m unsure on how factual the article is, one thing is certain. Its a rapidly developing country with 250 million people.

Being our closest neighbour, made me wonder... Does anyone from here invest in “.id/.co.id”? Any restrictions?

Looking at the top 100 sites for Indonesia, there seems to be a fair few .co.id in the mix. http://www.alexa.com/topsites/countries;5/ID

I've looked at them. Bit risky, heavy reg costs as well. But agree that there is money to be made in indo. Massive phone market there

It is a very poor country and then add in all the language difficulties that will arise from non Indonesian people buying domains in it. Would give it a very wide berth.
