I picked up a copy of The Australian today to have a read.

Turns out it was an "advertorial" - but still, it all helps.

why did AUDA advertise themselves? How much did it cost and whats the real benefit? I think AUDA revenue from domain registrations and registrar fees could be much better spent.. maybe they need some quick tax deductions before end of financial year.. that could be the only possible legit excuse?

Why on earth would you be against the promotion of AU domains? It benefits all of us.

Certainly looks better spent than that last ad..

I still feel the message should be 'If you don't use .au for your website, you're going to struggle appealing to an .au market'

This message can be backed up with hard evidence from customer surveys, Google rankings etc. AU can not be complacent esp with new TLDs on their way
