    Hi All,

just wondering people's opinions on .asia domains? I have some that are pretty good, single word domains.

    Thanks!

.asia has been a disaster for domainers just like every other new extension. Early on is typically peak prices. Don't look at the weird stuff where a couple of of corporates have bidded high to protect their trademarks, that is one time event. cars.asia, $3350, that told the story back then (still not good even at the peak), and the story now is far worse than that. I don't think anything of substance has been reported in several years.

Would be early-mid 2008. Right on the start of the domain market bust.

Agree with snoopy and Demonoid, best to avoid if you can.

not a particularly good extension, up there with .me :)

In fairness to .asia they never set out to target domainers, they have a strategy targeting end users.
