Appraisal thinkcoupons.com.au

Our analyst believes it can be churned to a daily specials site or we may use our other domain DailySpecials.com.au.

I am wanting to get your opinions.

I have to agree with Zhenjie. I don't think it is worth anything as is.

Also, the word "coupon" is far more prevalent overseas - particularly USA.

I definitely prefer dailyspecials.com.au to this.

Just my opinion.

Yeah but so can:

couponsnow.com.au
coupons1234.com.au
couponsbuybuybuy.com.au

ect ect, what are they all worth??

Could you please elaborate as I think a lot of domainers here are perplexed with your evaluations so far.

I could say my dad thinks boogybooogywoopoopoo.com.au could be turned into a mega credit card comparison site and worth $xxx.

The potential project is still in research.
My point is domainers, providers, customers etc all have different initial views. Within our research we identified the word "Coupon" was seen as something for free with a validate date/expiry date whereas the term "special" was you need to get it today / now.
Just working outside the square and exploring all aspects of brainstorming.
I am intrigued to see what your opinions are?

seems the sentiment is that the domain itself will give you no advantage beyond being slightly brandable.

To me it sounds like a b2b marketing service, "thinking of ways to get more customers? Think Coupons.com.au"

Personally, I think most people would associate it with "coupon codes" which don't normally give you something for free, but rather a discount.

Also agree it's not worth a whole lot. You problem is that whilst it's an ok and unique name, the word 'think' would not normally be a search term, meaning it's value is purely for its ability to be branded.

to be the name sounds like Think Education Group is selling Coupons....As all the business names they have had "Think" in them..

But yeah develop the name if you feel it has value, at the moment it is worth reg fee.

Agree with Joe; that it is inclined towards B2B (i.e. introducing business to coupons) but with no natural search the name itself it will only every act to reinforce content and SEO for business marketing terms.

It could build brand value over time

But surely there has to be easier ways to try & make a dollar

Personally I like daily specials - maybe it's me but I sort of got confused thinking about thinkcoupons.com.au - are these coupons to make me think.. eg.. more holistic environmental, feel good.. yada yada???

DailySpecials - two words with very specific meanings - I really like that domain name myself. There is nothing to 'think' about there and when it comes to quickly recognisable terms and meanings, the less thinking people have to do the better..

however, I guess if it's about coupons, would dailyspecials send out the wrong first impression..

and if you had enough money like the Packer's perhaps, you could brand it however you want.. but if you're a mere mortal like 99% of the population, a head start with something remotely 'instantly recognisable' goes a long way.

Just my thoughts - which in the end didn't give that much 'opinion' - just some random but well meant thoughts.

because you asked :D
