We have a few .cn from many years ago before they changed the policy and did an audit on existing owners which we passed by sending them our company details. At the time it turned us off .cn domains and .cn websites because they could so easily be taken off us (and also ENOM stopped selling them).
Anyway long story short I now find that .cn domain names are available with the registrar acting as a local 'trustee'.
ENOM are selling them again for US$30 per year but I found another registrar nicenic selling them for US$5
I did a search here and there is a user 'nicenic' from the company who has introduced herself earlier this year (but might have got banned for spamming).
Has anyone used the cheaper .cn registrars? If we developed a website I would sleep better if the name was at ENOM but I could put 10 years on them at nicenic and then transfer to ENOM anyway (unless there are restrictions on this either from the company or the regulatory body).
Also, does the trustee's name appear in the ownership details?
