What's new

after.com.au

If selling to another domainer I'd say $50 to $200.

If selling to an enduser via outbound marketing, that uses the name 'after' as a main part of their business name or domain, such as, After Online, After Pay or After Care and they see 'after' as an upgrade, then $500 to $2,500.

If you get an inbound inquiry from an enduser, then $500 to however high they're willing to go, depending on how much they want the name and how deep their pockets are.

Car Sales paid 10k for used.com.au, which they use as a redirect to quicksales. This is an anomaly, as they have very deep pockets, however, it does show that a general name with no specific business application (unless you add a word to it, such as, 'cars') can fetch a high price if a big business happens to want it.

Detailed and accurate commentary - I agree with what you say. I think $1,000 is the top end of the price.
Endusers pay more and are willing buyers, the name though doesn't lead to anything that comes to mind.

Thanks for your replies guys,

@Scott7 I appreciate your detailed response. Yeah, I was thinking along the same lines; selling to someone that wants to upgrade their domain name.

Actually, the first thing that came to my mind was that it would be a good promotional domain for the weight loss industry; what do you think?

Maybe that was an after thought on my part. To be honest, i just don't see it - but the beauty of any name is that all you need is that one person/end user willing to pay you the $$$.
