Ad Blocking

I can see both points of view...some people will stop publishing good content, if they can't make any money off it...especially if it's not even enough to cover their costs.
Particularly many among the younger generation expects everything to be free... without any consideration of the cost of bringing this free information.

There was one main reason I used ad-blocking plugins in the past, and that was because so many banners used seriously annoying animations to try and grab users' attention. To an extend many advertisers were their own worst enemies, encouraging people to find ways to eliminate the psychedelic distractions plastered around the 'net. These days it seems to be less of an issue, but sometimes...

If mass-adblocking does become common the industry will adapt and innovate, move with the times. It might make things harder for a while, but it will also encourage innovation. Could be interesting.
