These are all registry sales. My understanding is the registry does a lot of cold calling/spam to generate those sales and then reports them all to generate domainer interest.

Suspect they are almost entirely “defensive registrations”.

No idea, the only takeaway is that these aren’t organically driven sales and the tld is no better than all the other junk ntlds.
They probably got on the phone and did a lot of scare mongering (after the .sucks people had just rang)

Yep. If you look at those domains above not one even resolves to a proper site. Some are errors, some are registrar pages and one is a redirect to another site. Zero usage.
