I was watching interviews with domainers on youtube, and they said nothing about developing the site.

Correct me if i am wrong here, but can you just buy a domain name and list it for sale hoping the name is clever enough for someone to show interest in?

Or after buying the domain name do you have to develop it before you can sell it?

You can list names for sale and hope they're clever but a better approach would be to find out what sort of names actually sell, why they sell and how much they sell for. A few places to start researching would be http://dnjournal.com and http://www.netfleet.com.au/domain-sales

To be honest, 2day2night.com is pretty bad, I wouldn't pay $0.01 for it.

When it comes to business "hoping" isn't a good strategy.

As already mentioned, you'd better off refining your registration strategy to focus on the sorts of domains that people regularly pursue.

If you want to sell a domain, you have to think 'How is the buyer going to get a return for themselves?'. Is the domain brandable, great for developing, rare etc

Not the best name I have seen but a long way from the WORST.
Development is needed however to realise any value from it.

Last night I saw half a big mac squashed on the road, having said that it is along way form the worst burger I have ever seen.

This names is a million miles from being worth developing.
