i was quite surprised to see that price for a numeric domain in net.au

maybe i am missing something ???

It use to be a design business, It was on my list of domains to bid for..

But I do not think it is worth that much...people seem to pay crazy amounts for domains on DROP the last few months, way over priced imo

Probably bought for the old links, old web design company as James says.

I don't think it says anything for other 3 number .net.au, surely there is hundreds of these available?

eg I just tried these

109.net.au - available
107.net.au - available
208.net.au - available

Regarding 222.net.au I don't think it is worth anything, could just register 333.net.au. (actually I think that is an even better name).

So either my whois checker is broken, (because everything I try is available), or these names are not very good.

for 108, it's closely related to Chinese culture and buddhism culture as well. it's very complicated, but in short words, it means "extremely high" "great lucky" "get rid of trouble" etc.

so, 108 is a common number, especially for Buddhist.
