Personally struggle to see how a domain like that could be worth that much, however I guess if someone is willing to pay that much, that makes it worth that much! Will be interesting to see what they do with it...

Personally I could think of a lot of other domains that I would prefer to spend $1m on - if I had a spare $1m floating around ...
