I 100% disagree. This site will rank well above racing.com.au - its not an branding issue. It will rank in the serps in its own right. The .com also identifies the global nature of horse racing in Australia. racing.com.au can never rank for racing terms - it redirects to tab.com.au which...

So if this is about trust then the most expensive Verisign cert should convey the must trust; but if this is about selling stuff down our throats then Googles own budget cert. should rank higher than verisign. That the test I would like to see - do they rank their own ssl cert above others.

Thanks - James we we cloak - always have and I think its a better solution than using a plugin. Interesting to see a lot people recommending 302 redirects - have always used 301's that might be something to look in to. We use meta-refresh as it drops the referrer via javascript.

My personal opinion is it should cause no issues whatsoever. I was asking to see if others held the same view hoping maybe someone could confirm it in practice. Surprisingly there is very little evidence or example of others doing the same.

I haven't bought or bid on a domain for at least 4-6 weeks. Used to get a stack of alerts - now barely get 1 or 2 a eek. It can't be working properly. As I'm busy with other things - if I don;t get an alert - there is every chance I never check - I'm sure I'm not the only one.
