    Farewell Netfleet

Hi All, Just wanted to let you all know that I am moving on from Netfleet and the expired domain market (drop) market. It has been a pleasure to provide all of you with what I hope has been an excellent service. Judging by the lively discussions here I'd say that the .au expired domain...

Important Changes to our Auction format

It is no different to our current losses. We will still be a No Win/No Fee and what you are buying is our services to attempt to procure the domain when it is released. The process will still be public, anyone can make an offer or push the buy now button.

Important Changes to our Auction format

We have been experimenting with different auction formats over the past few weeks in order to find the best solution format for selling domain names. On 21st October we will trial first price sealed bid auctions. In short, we will not show any prices on our auction platform, with all bids being...

    Domain Sales List 2013

:) Well done dtrade, it is fantastic to see big sales being reported. Good work on separating the domain price from the total sale price too.

Pricing changes at Netfleet - existing clients will not be affected.

Important note: I am going to keep our Change of Registrant price at $18.43. In 2012 70% of CORs ended up with the buyer paying. In 2013 only 9% of CORs have the buyers as the payee. So in the interests of helping keep the sales process simple for buyers outside of Netfleet we will keep this...

    Questions about bidding history

As Tim pointed out the top bid is normally $1 more than the next highest bid (unless they match exactly) and the price is displayed directly above the table on the same page. I am pretty sure drop do exactly the same thing.

    Questions about bidding history

The final bid price is here http://www.netfleet.com.au/auction-history/ or am I not understanding your question?

    I'm Confused - How Did I Lose?!?

Hi Chris, Sorry about that and thanks for the feedback, I have reverted this temporary workaround. http://www.netfleet.com.au/auction-history/?sid=1091473 It looks like you where outbid in the final seconds so I am not sure that being able to see the current bid would have changed anything...

    Testing changes to auction system

Hi All, A few days are up and I will be back in the office this afternoon. This change had nothing to do with snipe bidding. This is also not some effort to get you all to pay more. Drop was targeting our list and deliberately registering domain names and then deleting all of them. Many of...

    Wheels fell off?

We have a very flat organizational structure at Netfleet. If marketing is important then that gets the focus and I run my requirements past marketing. If tech needs focus in the future then we might reverse that and marketing needs to run requirements past me. This is just to keep our limited...

    Wheels fell off?

Probably better to say make the investors happy as they are the ones who really like it when we catch domains. Mark is still our CEO. I have been reporting to Fleur recently as she has been taking the lead at Netfleet with some marketing stuff. I still have to keep the wheels greased and moving...

    Wheels fell off?

Hey guys, I will be back soon. My Aunt is flying up on Monday and can take over some of the kid duties so I can focus on drop caching again. All is fair in love and war and this is pretty normal stuff. Congrats to Drop for not giving up over the last two years, and it is nice to have some...

    Testing changes to auction system

Hi all, please bear with me as I am going to be testing out some changes to our auction interface over the weekend and into next week. The first test from tomorrow will be that you will only be able to see the current bid while you are winning an auction. Another test will be that our list...

    It's a girl!

Hey all thanks for the wishes... I don't have facebook or twitter, I only use whatsapp for keeping family and friends in the loop (I like to keep control of the groups I post to) I've given myself 1 hour of internet/work stuff per day for the next two weeks. Her name is Alexandra Mae Peake...

    It's a girl!

Hey all, I might be a bit scarce for the next two weeks as we had a baby this morning. Mom and baby are great, girl 3.38kg. I could not be happier right now :-) Hope you are all having a great spring too. Ant :)

    Spring Sale now on.

I have had your original comments about the location of the timer ringing in my hears for the last 10 months. Mainly because it was the part of the design that irked me the most.
