I thought I might say a few words. Firstly I want to thank, again, everyone who voted for both Ned and I. This is not what I wanted when I was elected. Secondly, I want to apologize to all of those who voted for me (and those who didn't but still supported me) for ending it this way. As most...

    2017 Board Elections

I wanted my own name on a membership. The companies have domain names so they gave an interest. But I am personally involved in the industry. So I want to have my own membership. It is pretty simple.

    Huge News Regarding auDA

I am going to jump in here. I don't recommend jumping between lawyers. Yes some legal work can be separated and it is appropriate to engage a suitably qualified person and seek tenders etc. However every time you swap and change you need to bring the new lawyer up to speed on the background of...

    2017 Board Elections

I want to thank everyone for their support. It is very much appreciated. I also want to thank Ned directly for running an open, honest and honourable election campaign.

    2017 Board Elections

@Cheyne I think that is in the context of an unfilled proxy. If no selection is made on a proxy the Chair can vote as they see fit. But if no proxy is submitted for that member, then no vote is cast.

    2017 Board Elections

Cheyne, you and I both know that no one can give guarantees as to the outcome of discussions of a group. What I do guarantee is that I will listen to stakeholders and take into consideration their views, even if we disagree. I will take those views to the Board. I know that my opinion may differ...

    2017 Board Elections

Fixing the problem is what Ned and I intend to achieve. Part of the problem is that "generic statement" that tells us little. The Board decides what information to release so at least with three of us (Ned, Tim and I) on the board pushing for transparency the information may flow. But it is a...

People who are proxies should be able to attend regardless of their membership. Bottom of the proxy form is a clear indication they are able to attend .... "Your proxy does not need to be a member of auDA. If you do not name a proxy, or your named proxy does not attend the meeting, the...

    auDA AGM Details

It is just another power grab by auDA. It wants to be able to pick and choose who is a member. I particularly dislike the suggesting that if anyone is the "subject" of a disciplinary proceeding they can removed. What do they mean by "subject of a disciplinary proceeding"? Do they mean that...

There are still trade mark applications being filed for .au marks - https://search.ipaustralia.gov.au/trademarks/search/result?s=d15f2e14-dc96-47be-b623-a592b6a47119 The search is not perfect (it is a search on .au with the 2LD stripped) and IP Australia has not indexed some marks correctly...

    2017 Board Elections

This line of asking about other people's involvement appears to be your standard response when challenged. As to my involvement, I am the person who gave Ned the idea of bringing the 249D. Ned and I had, over a long period, discussed auDA and our concerns and were discussing what could be done...

and our transparent method of operation. The current auDA board is being criticised for its lack of transparency. I don't know Ian and I don't know what he promised Shane. But where was Ian's transparency when he was being considered by auDA? It feels like auDA just appointed someone who would...
