I've just set one of these up on nuts.com.au using Klaviyo. I'm a bit like Tim in that I don't particularly like them, but there seems to be few online stores these days not using them.

Any DNT members putting their hand up? :p I thought they'd use a recruitment firm rather than Seek...

    auDA Membership

Fantastic news. If nothing else, our growing membership base will show auDA and the current directors that we are serious about the direction of the AU domain space.

Not too late mate. Applications must be received no less than 7 days before the next meeting, which is 20 June. So a bit of time, but don't leave it too late! :)

    Have You .....

I have an client in my insurance business who uses one. His business name is 'Example Services' and his domain name is example.services I was quite surprised to see it! It seems good in theory since it matched his business name perfectly, but gee it looks strange on his website when you see...

    Triple J domainer story

That's not the same piece from Hack, but same initial subject and reporter. I haven't been able to find the piece from Hack online. That one is very interesting too though! Thanks for sharing that one. :)

Even in the main report, it's difficult to see how the list of 'pros' outweighs their own list of 'cons'.

    opinions, netvirtue.com.au

I worked for the NAB back in the late 90s and remember their online systems pretty well. Man they were bad! The computers we used for processing were these old all-in-one things with green monochrome monitors!

I'd have to disagree Erhan. I don't think it's about punishing people at all. It's simply a case that many DNtrade members have a vote, and they want to use that vote for someone who has similar views to themselves. I don't know Simon and I have no ill will towards him, but when he posts...

I'm nominating for the auDA board this year

Nominations don’t open until much later in the year, but given the recent interest in auDA issues I've decided to make my announcement earlier than planned. I will be running for a seat on the auDA board this year. I feel that the board has been without a director who genuinely represents...

.net.au, what to do with it?????

Agreed. It's clearly driven by the supply side looking for ways to grow revenue rather than to provide some sort of benefit to the world. But I'm looking for ways to grow my revenue every day too, so you can't blame anyone on the supply side for that. The problem (as we all know) is that the...

.net.au, what to do with it?????

My thoughts... To be fair the .au should probably go to the net.au holder in this case, but overall I'm more in favour of the UK model where the com.au owner would get preference regardless. This could also be an issue for certain edu.au and maybe even gov.au domains that have been registered...

    AUDA membership made easy

There is a massive under-representation of end users, but the question for all of us is why would 99% of end users who have one or two domains for their business feel the need to join? I have plenty of friends in business, and very few of them have any real interest in domain names aside from...

    AUDA membership made easy

When I submitted my application as a demand class member it was queried as their records showed that I had a reseller account and should therefore be joining as a supply member. It was quickly sorted out (the reseller account was from almost a decade ago and had no active domains) and I was...

    AUDA membership made easy

Previous years have been around October / November. If you join in time for the June meeting you should be fine. Remember you have to submit your application at least 7 days prior to the meeting date though.

Given the relatively minuscule cost, you'd be mad not to become a member and at least get to vote at the board election.
