Interesting story here.. .

By not lowering their pricing to a more affordable level Bridgeclimb lost the contract completely... Big mistake from an incumbent supplier who was obviously too comfortable profiteering to see others could do the same job better and cheaper.

Mr Hammon also wants the climb to be more affordable.

“We want to make it a must-see destination for Sydneysiders and visitors to Sydney, regardless of physical or financial restraints,” he said.

They were probably making enormous margins. Price will probably drop 60% lol

Bridgeclimb is an absolute rip off over $1000 for 2 parents and 2 kids at the weekend! I think it may have started at $99 per adult and now it is $318 each at weekends.

I think they should have several companies running it using all access points. Another long term monopoly provider for Australian Critical Infrastructure national asset is not the answer and is poor management of the asset by the Government.

Give Consumers the choice who to use. There where options using different areas of the bridge for different suppliers and the Consumers can choose who to use .. they can still then get to the top and enjoy the view equally the same using different suppliers. Not everyone will want to do some interactive video things which Scenic World will probably introduce... Most people just want to climb to the top take some photos enjoy that view and come down.

Could there be multiple .au domain name wholesale registries operating? That would also ensure some form of back up plan if 1 had problems at any time.

With Afilias is their back up plan just a cloud based backup starting 1st July 2018?

What is the auDA backup plan if something happened to Afilias? Do they have a plan they could turn on without downtime and risk to the .au namespace Australian Critical Infrastructure and public resource?
