So I was just having a read of the latest Behind the Dot magazine by Ausregistry. I found it interesting how on page 6 they were boasting about how sought after short, generic, keyword .com.au domains are and even boasting 5 and 6 figure sales prices.
However I thought that you are only meant to register .com.au if the domain is related to your business and you are using it to build a website for your business, not for investment purposes on the domain name.
Is it just me or does this seem contradictory? I'm new to domaining in general and just trying to get my bearings with the .com.au market and whether it's worth investing.
It seems like it's a bit of a grey area. Checkout idealsolutions.com.au <-- is this how people are getting around holding .com.au with no real business implemented on the domain?
