What do you do with your .com.au domains? Do you park them and hope to monetise the type in traffic that way? Do you develop them into sites/communities and make money through advertising and affiliates? Or are you one to just buy a domain and sell it for a profit?

I myself love to develop, its always good to see a site youve created, and then watch the traffic come through.

I like to develop, more now as a hobby than anything else. I own about a half dozen domain names and really only have aspirations for one of them at this moment.

Although, with the right marketing I have two potentially viable domains. One for the private rental market, http://www.myhouse4rent.au.com and another aimed at the webhost community, http://www.westwebz.com (and http://www.westwebz.com.au). Both are a work in progress and as time permits I'll develop them further.

Good to see other developers out there, i wish you luck for those sites nick. I have developed quite a few sites over my time, with my first real baby being http://www.supercarnews.com, I have been looking at redeveloping it into a much larger site for some time, hence not updating it in a while, but things just keep coming along. I also like to make smaller niche sites which rank well in the search engines for semi-competitive terms.

i dont have developing skills at the moment , but i have some names for when maybe i do , one is aretv.com.au , which is an acronym for australian real estate tv , maybe one day it will be something ??? i think the web will be a lot more visual in the future , that's why i have some .tv names
