Default Who's Terantica SMSF?

Hi guys,

I've recently noticed that this entity "Terantica SMSF" is registering most of the dropped domains from netfleet snapper auction.

Does anyone know who this person or entity is?

Isn't SMSF some sort of Self Managed Super Fund?

Let me know if any of you have any info.

Cheers,

Yeah, it's self managed super fund. He won't have much left given 99% of the purchases are highly questionable. I was talking about this with someone else the other week when the SMSF purchased like 20 duds in one go.

It looks like he's slowing down a bit now either because he spent all his super already or did some self studying on domaining.

A few weeks back, he was registering around 50 domains a day and it went for a few weeks.

I agree with WorGeneral that 99% of the domains were very questionable.

Well, I guess he'll be learning about this domaining business the hardway..

I have thought about using a SMSF for domain purchases (after reading this - http://www.dntrade.com.au/buying-dom...r-t1811p2.html) as well however the ATO requirements re SMSF investments (sole purpose) / auDA policy (not being able to purchase domains purely for the purpose of re-sale) seem to conflict or am I missing something?

Yeah, I think it's pretty risky territory. You run the risk of either your fund being hit with a big tax bill, or auDA taking your domains.

The only way I see it working is if domain leasing becomes legit for AU domains.

why would you need a SMSF in order to buy domains?

But also increased risk and greater potential for losses.
