Default tampon.com.au & tampons.com.au

Two generic domain names, thoughts on value?

I would have thought for a product that gets consumed regularly with a large portion of the population, and has a reasonable level of embarrassment for buying over the checkout, these generic domain names would make a great online store.

These are good names but I think it won't be easy selling this online given the ability of the product and shipping costs, seems to be minimal advertiser interest. Not sure this is really an "embarrassment" item. In my view the main value market be in marketing rather than direct sales (ie if a tampon company owned it).

Gut feeling is around $1000 each, I think the plural is a bit better than singular for this term.

Great domains - not sure the 'embarrassment factor' is that high for this one though. Not like for adult product domains where it does have a huge positive effect on values.

However it's category killer in a massive mainstream and steady industry so is certainly a good name. Not sure on the search volume though - suspect people would search by brand a lot with this one.

Low $X,XXX my guess

Ah, love it when the wife asks for these on my turn to shop. I certainly get a little anxious come scanning time, but alas, I buy them anyways.

I would approach the major players by phone and email and also sprout the 'brand/product recognition card'. With low advertiser competition it should be easier to rank, and a front page Google ranking would definitely help a sale.

Have to agree though, low to mid $x,xxx
