Hi backpackets,
Welcome to the forum and domaining in general. I don't think there's a set number of domains you should start out with. One resource I would recommend reading is DomainGraduate.com It's a great e-book for someone just starting out in the industry. Cheers, Mike Fabulous.com |

Hello BP,
Like Mike, I don't think there's a set number of domains. For me, it's really dependent on your budget, strategy, your own skills/resources and the quality of the domain names available. This is where strategy comes in, as there are many different ways to attempt to make money from domain names. For instance, some domainers purchase a thousand domain names purely speculating on potential future sales, rather than generating daily clicks. I work on a short term, low risk strategy by developing each of my domains into websites. As I have the skills to do this myself, it doesn't cost me very much and all of my websites pay their own way. I'm actually halfway through writing an article on this topic so I'll post it on here when it's finished. |
