Doesn't get a lot of searches but it's better than the other ones. People tend to use the word panels more than tiles. Tiles sounds more like spaceship stuff, maybe you can sell it to NASA.

There "might" be some value in solartiles.com.au to a retail buyer, but for just the domains by themselves I don't think you'll get much if anything for any of them from domainers and web developers.

Could well be.

I think this trend will reverse when solar actually becomes cost effective. At the moment the industry doesn't work without government support. Once the industry doesn't need government support it is likely that business, rather than households, will be the primary investors in solar and they will likely setup solar power plants (farms).

That said all this is probably 5 - 10 years away. Who knows where domain names will be by then...

Just as a side know it also is looking like in 20 - 30 years time nuclear fusion will likely dominate the energy production scene if the pilot projects are anything to go by.

Personally I wouldn't be renewing this for years hoping that at some distant time someone may want to buy it.

i suspect the technology is there but getting it to the home is another thing , my thinking is there is how many homes in australia with tiles ? whilst true it's a long time to speculate there will be a day when it is a good name, but agreed a long wait for this one.

The is pure speculation. Personally I have major doubts about the term really becoming popular. Is the average builder going to be getting someone to to wire up hundreds/thousands of "solar tiles"? What would that cost? ignoring the cost of the actual tiles. Having large solar panels or roofing made from solar panels would make more sense.
