Netregistry partners with Netfleet

Hope everybody had a great Christmas!

I wanted to post here first to let you know some exciting news. Netregistry have taken a stake in Netfleet and are committed to helping grow the .au domain aftermarket.

This deal has been months in the making & we believe it will make a real difference to the site, to all Netfleet members and, in fact anyone with any interest in .au domain names.

What it gives us is the exposure. In the group they manage 400,000 domains & have about 250,000 customers which should not only mean more domains for sale but hopefully a hundred-fold more buyers than we currently have. Not to mention tha back office support that they give us as well.

From an operational POV nothing changes, myself and Mark are still running the site, we still charge no commissions or fees (although that will change in the future of course) & we'll still be posting here chasing your valuable feedback as ever!

Great news!

Thanks to some ignorant comments by their CEO in the media, NetRegistry have been a bit of a laughing stock lately so hopefully this is an indication of them getting their game together.

Hopefully this can help stimulate the .au market as a whole. Most importantly though is that we all keep working hard & sharing knowledge & ideas especially on places like DNTRADE.

There are plenty people making A LOT of money in the .au market but they still keep a very low profile. A higher profile of domaining in Australia has to be part of all our personal goals for 2009!!
