Was looking on DROP and I noticed that one specific person has purchased a huge amount of Law related domain in the Adelaide region, obviously they had a smart idea?? I do not know why they would buy so many domains maybe they thought people were typing them in, maybe they had development plans??

I found this interesting as I work on online marketing for a big law firm hehe =)

Would any one do something like this on mass scale I mean its not cheap say the domains were liek $50 for 2 years x that by this number its not a small amount to just blow for an idea...

LOL two years ago I consulted for my old man for his forklift business and recommend he pick up a few forklift exact match domains in his industry.

I told him with exact match domains in relatively uncompetitive market often quickly rank number 1. I gave him a few suggestions of 10 - 20 that would be worth owning.

I come back a week later and he's gone above and beyond my recommendation and dropped $3000 into domains!

LMAO.

Business people hear the terms "rank number one in google with an exact match domain" and all of a sudden think they if they can just buy organic Google rankings like any other form of advertising.

Yeah well I guess we all make some mistakes..

But yeah the worst thing about the .com.au space is their is some sharks out their who will try and rip business people off with scams saying they will register 2000 bucks worth of domains and generate leads when really they can work all these keywords from one website.

Can't say I'm a fan of these geo based domain names since the places change.

yeah the new geo change is a huge one especially for paid listings =(
