Default hosting reseller template

Have you got any tips on how to set up a web site to resell hosting?

I took full advantage of the ventraip sale today at

You'd use WHMCS to do that. Not built into wordpress but could be essentially

Thanks mate
That looks great
There is a wp plugin for it too
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/whmcs-bridge/

I will go at WHMCS like a bull at a gate, as usual , and hopefully not break too many things

Looks like I will still have to build a web site and then intergrate WHMCS into the site

Is that correct?

Yes that would be correct. You may be able to just use WHMCS but it'll look aweful

oh bugger
I was hoping I could get a pre built web site

So many of the hosting reseller sites look very much the same anyway
e.g.Tick this for option A etc
It is hard to believe they all started from scratch

Why doesn't someone create a WP theme or a php script with all that jargon about options a b and c already there?

There may be but I'm unsure. I've never dealt with WHMCS so can't say. You could post on the Ventra forums and you'd find out

Joe,
WHMCS looks fine out of the box, see http://demo.whmcs.com/
Customers can click Order and select any plan that you have set up in the back end.

WHMCS is by far the best system. Have done 2 whmcs templates in the past.
If you dont want anything flashy the default install is fine.

The reason I don't like the default theme is that it is massively (I really mean massively) overused. It will work but won't look that great considering many sites use it

WHMCS can be quite easily modified to suit a particular design. The 'original' theme is very dated and can be seen everywhere. The V4 template is much better and can be adapted nicely to suit most sites.

As you're probably aware, there's a lot more to hosting than just a reseller account and a WHMCS theme - they're the easy parts
