Default Hi guys

I am planning on developing a site to sell books on the net.

I am new to developing so it may take a while

I have these 2 domains which I will be using. (redirecting the .net.au to the .com.au)

Any comments on the names??

iBooks.com.au
iBooks.net.au

nice and short and brandable, wouldn't put too much value on the domain itself but it can easily be branded and developed to gain value.

hopefully you will become the next amazon.com?

not bad, nice and short.

as a suggestion perhaps try promoting a few book affiliate programs first to get a feel for the marketing side of online book sales, its a competetive space. If you can sell books on an affiliate program you can probably do it on your own, if you cant sell books from an affiliate program you probably shouldnt start your own book site..

Yeh solid advice. Before ordering stock and cover all those costs, its good to use something like phpBayPro (aff) or just affiliate link and get conversions that way.

If you can sell someone elses product, you can sell your own.
