Default Geo Prefix of Suffix

I don't know if this one has been debated previously, but what are people's thoughts on whether to put a geo term before or after its subject? An example of this might be:

carsbrisbane.com.au vs brisbanecars.com.au

Obviously more people search for "cars brisbane" given that searchers often put their location last or go back and refine their search, but in my honest opinion "brisbane cars" is much more brandable.

Also has anyone had much experience with the SEO implication of the prefix geo domain ranking for the suffix geo term?

I think it depends...

for example accommodation: cairns accommodation is better

and for a trade: landscaping brunswick is better

In this case the volumes seem to be quite similar. I have tried a few different topics, and I haven't found another topic yet that has something similar.

My logic for "accommodation" being the exception is that

PS - I just did a lookup related to "holidays" and it's a similar result so this phenomenon might be related to travel, given that when people do search related to travel their primary focus is actually the destination not the product, unlike when they search locally the product is their focus and the location of that product is an after thought which normally results in them realising they can't just search for "plumbers" because they need a "local" plumber therefore need to refine their search to include a location.

Thoughts?
