What due diligence do you do before bidding on a domain name at the expiry or aftermarket auctions?

Apart from Policy Delete reasons not much when it comes to expiring domains. Of course, making sure it doesn't breach any AUDA rules.

If catching high PR domains, then just making sure they aren't fake.

Quick Google search, and trademark database - that's about it for me
