Default Domainers doing a good cause for the floods

The floods have caused some huge problems for people in Northern Queensland.

Two prominent names in the Australian domain name world are teaming up to help raise some money =)

Pacific Octane CEO - James Wester will dress as Dora the Explorer on Australia day.

BDM of Deep Blue Sea - Mike Robertson will not shave until Australia Day.

More information on the Facebook pages -

Please tell friends in the AU domain industry !!!

Thats great work by those guys.. Are they active members on the dntrade.com.au board here? Their wisdom would be very valuable to us all.

The more members the better!

Hi guys,

Someone just pointed me to this thread. I must apologize, since Andrew Wright (DROP/DBS/Fab) looks after the Australian market I've taken a back seat on this forum. I do occasionally pop in to keep my finger on the pulse, as I'm actively marketing the .au space to our OS customers.

I initially started this because I grew up in the CQ area, spent my first 20 years there (and studied at CQU), so most of my friends and family are still there. Now that the floods are also affecting the Brisbane (where we're based) and surrounding suburbs/towns it really hits home how much is really needed.

I do urge those that can spare a few dollars to donate, and to those that already have, I can't thank you enough. A special thanks goes to James Norquay who set up the FB page!

Wishing everyone all the very best for Twenty Eleven!

Mike

Does DN Trade sell charity ribbons on the site?

users could purchase them and DN Trade send in a donation on behalf of the users on DN Trade...just an idea - used on another forum

Cheers
Corey
