Fairfax Media ( http://www.fxj.com.au) would be the new King since it now owns the majority shares in www.omg.com.au which owns 30,000 .com.au generic domain names ( about 1-2000 seem valuable the rest of questionable resale value but obviously bring in keyword traffic still of some sort to them)

It probably helps to have so many names for what they do but when is quantity better than quality?

Obviously the value Fairfax Media pays for built out names is far greater with the amounts they pay for developed websites such as essential baby, rsvp etc etc

Strangely omg is not even listed here http://www.fxj.com.au/our-assets/online.dot

You can see how online is growing as Fairfax Media develop all their print into websites also http://www.fxj.com.au/our-assets/Upd...2011_Nov10.pdf

Having 30,000 generic .com.au domain names ( via the omg.com.au deal) should help them for many future plans they have which require good generic keyword branding

FYI http://www.omg.com.au/about-us/

Yes nice work James do you own Pacific Octane? Wont be long you will be off to the carribean also by the looks with so many names Would you rate your 6000 domain names as lower, equal of better quality and resale value than the 30,000 owned by omg?

Yes they have, we never received any preferential treatment. Rules are rules.
