Question How do I rank here?

Hi Guys!

Can someone please tell me, how does one attain this position. (Black circle area)
(Check the image attached.)

Is it something to do with Google News?.....If so, how do you enter your site to be a part of it?

Thanks in advance for the help!

As far as i can tell, this is the top ranked site according to the criteria that you searched on. It isnt a sponsored link and nor do i believe it to be Google News site.

Getting to that spot you just need to build site strength better, seo better, beg, cheat and steal and do everything better than anyone else. Depending upon what field or niche, you can add in "spend money better".

Its a tough task but it can be done

I'm no expert, but it does look like a news item to me, especially since it has a picture next to the listing.

I have plenty of position 1 rankings, but none of them have pictures next to them.

I also think its something other than the top organic result.

Basically Mus1c F3eds /com /au wasn't around in the searches about a month ago.
(As in, ranking anywhere significant.)
Now all of a sudden its appearing everywhere for a lot of good music terms.
In fact this news looking thing has stolen the top ranking for some of the terms I've had as #1 for more than 8-12months.
Bit annoyed! lol

You need to be in Google news,

The criteria for been included in Google news has recently changes, in the past their was a separate bot which crawled only Google news websites now it has changed and the same bot crawls all websites.

Question been how to I become included:

1. You need to be publishing more then 1 high quality piece of content each day, if not more.
2. This content needs to be authority.
3. You need to have a high authority website.

Their are many factors you can also use to be included in Google news I have made a whole document around 20 pages on it.

But overall getting accepted is not easy at all, especially if the website is new.

And another thing is you can never really stay on top, due to the fact that higher authority websites knock you down, a big one in the AU market is SMH they will kill any website I have had numerous cases where we have to take them on from an SEO front it is not easy by any means.

My advice is to push for the organic and universal results.

Google News algo has nothing to do with Ad spend on Google.

Also I would highly advise not to steal content or you will never appear on Google news.

LOL...the comments were pretty much "tounge in cheek".

But i do stand by the comment where i said spend more....though i mean in content, in buying seo time etc etc rather than ads.
