My name is Darryl Jones and I am the General Manager of Devname.com. I personally have been working online for the last 4-5 years in a number of roles from finance and accounting, domaining, website building, off page SEO and other online activities. I am a CPA with an online entrepreneurial flare.

Devname was setup mainly to target gTLD assets however in focusing the business with a global outlook only can lead to missed opportunities in the ccTLD arena. I use a few cool tools that have helped me to secure over 5k .com, .net & .org domains

I hope I can add some value to this forum from my previous experience and in return would like to keep up to date with whats happening in the Aussie domaining market. I look forward to being a part of the community and participating as much as I can.

Going by your website it looks like you're based in Sydney but specialise in TLDs at this stage. Any reason why you haven't gone after .au domains yet?

The focus has been on TLD's historically because of the size of the market & opportunities available. Now my focus is looking for home based opportunities with .au to further diversify my assets.

I am based in Sydney and a few domains that I own include
grindertool.com, balancemagazine.com, pipecamera.com, rmen.com to name a few. The devname value proposition is about aftermarket volume and not price gouging.

I am part of a larger business that has developed a domain drop software called protrada.com that has helped me to be able secure the domains and sell enough of my portfolio to pay for the portfolio and future domain acquisitions.
